Since the technology allows us to create accurate 3D images of a person's body, a scanned 3D image can be sent to a custom-tailoring house, so that a perfectly fitted dress can be made and shipped back to the customer. A number of large companies which are providing custom-tailored clothes to high-end customers, are interested in this technology. Ah, you actually fell for that?!
It can be used in: subways, courtrooms, embassies, sports arenas, concert halls, museums, commercial buildings, and as an alternative to strip searches in customs and prisons.

There already are hand-held devices like these. Not only that, but it is planned for police forces to use them in a hidden manner.
